View of the Town Hall in Compiègne, a Gothic building adorned with a bell tower with a spire and a coat of arms, with horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians in front. On the reverse, handwritten message 'Bonnes amitiés, Alice' and address to Madame Dastreuche, 25 rue Fontaine, Paris. Green 5 centimes stamp and postmark from Compiègne dated 21 August 1905.
