Black and white view of the Hôtel de Ville de Compiègne, with its imposing Gothic bell tower and a statue in the foreground. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated August 24, 1952, sent from Compiègne to Madame Bourroche in Châtenay-Malabry, with a 12-centime stamp and a Compiègne cancellation.
