Richly decorated interior of the officers' drawing room at the Palace of Compiègne, with large tapestries, crystal chandeliers, and an ornate fireplace. Printed text at the bottom: 'COMPIÈGNE — Palace of Compiègne — Officers' Drawing Room'. Reverse: address to Madame Martha Chérie at Pont-de-la-Rotonde, Chaponnay, Doubs, with handwritten correspondence dated 15 November 1914, and postmark 'LE MÉDECIN CHEF' with a Compiègne cancellation.
