Luxurious interior of the Red Room at the Palace of Compiègne, with a canopy bed, a large mirror, a chandelier, and a checkerboard parquet floor. Printed text at the bottom: 'Palace of COMPIÈGNE — The Red Room'. Reverse: handwritten sender's note from 'Paul' to 'M. F. Clapinot' in Panoyeaux, France, with a 5-centime French postage stamp canceled in Paris on 25.07.1907.
