Portrait of a woman in traditional Savoyard costume, wearing a white bonnet, a floral-patterned dress, and an apron adorned with a yellow cross. The front bears the inscription 'LA SAVOIE PITTORESQUE 3. COSTUMES DE SAVOIE — Saint-Jean-d'Arves'. The reverse contains a handwritten letter dated 1914, sent from Ruffieux to M. Adia, mentioning travel delays and family news.
