Description

Postcard depicting the Keep of Coucy-le-Château, with printed text at the top: 'I am neither King nor Prince, nor Duke nor Count. I am the Lord of Coucy.' On the reverse, correspondence dated September 9, 1909 to Madame Baffier, 47 rue de Pecourbe, Paris, with the sender's signature. A green 10-centime stamp canceled 'REPUBLICHE FRANCAISE' and a postmark of 'EPQUEUIN' visible at the top left.
