Printed text at the top: 'THE DEVASTATED AISNE.' and at the bottom: 'COUCY-LE-CHATEAU (Aisne). — Ruins.' The reverse has a handwritten letter dated January 31, 1918, addressed to 'G. P. A. 181' in Paris, with a note of 'Correspondence' and 'Address'.
