View of the beach at Courseulles-sur-Mer with aligned beach huts and villas in the background, under a clear sky. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 2 August 1917, addressed to 'My dear little Simone', mentioning a trip to Paris and a visit to Normandy. The recipient's address is partially faded, but the handwriting is legible. A stamp and cancellation are present.
