Description

Black and white panoramic view of the snow-covered Grande-Chartreuse convent, with its buildings and cells in the foreground, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. On the reverse, a handwritten address to Maurice Bristeau in Aix-les-Bains, a signature, and a postmark from Saint-Étienne dated April 18, 1918. 15-centime stamp from the 1918 Colonial Exhibition, canceled in Saint-Étienne.
