Description

Black and white panoramic view of the Grande-Chartreuse convent, nestled in a mountain valley with wooded slopes, featuring its white buildings with pointed roofs. The reverse side bears a handwritten letter dated April 9, addressed to Madame Mallet in Vezelay, and a circular postmark from the convent. A 16-centime French Republic postage stamp, canceled in Grenoble on April 25, 1920.
