Description

Black and white view of the entrance to the Desert, a rocky canyon with steep walls, bordered by a winding road. The printed text identifies the location as being on the Route de la Grande Chartreuse in Dauphiné. On the reverse, a postcard with a circular violet postmark from the Grande Chartreuse, handwritten address to 'Monsieur A. Périch' and a handwritten date 'Le 9 Août'.
