View of the Douaumont memorial, built in 1920 to commemorate soldiers who died in battle, with a lighthouse tower symbolizing the immortality of heroes. The reverse indicates that the work was authorized by a ministerial decree of December 3, 1919, and notes the contact details of the Treasurer in Nancy and the Chaplain in Verdun.
