An elderly woman in traditional costume, wearing a large hat with balls, seated on a paved floor and working on lace. Printed text at the bottom: '296 - The Lace-Maker of Espaliote with her wide tubular headdress, known as the ball headdress, exclusively posted in Le Puy, Espaly, and Vals'. Reverse: publisher 'Editions d'Art Margerith-Briand - Le Puy', space for correspondence, and signature 'A.P.' at the bottom right.
