View of Dieppe's pier under stormy weather, with waves crashing violently against the walls and a crowd of spectators on the quay. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 1916, sent to a recipient in Paris, describing an evening at the Casino ball and expressing a desire to improve in dancing. The stamp and cancellation are visible.
