Description

Monumental statues of Moses and David on a hexagonal pedestal adorned with prophetic figures, original work of Claux Sluter and his nephew Claux de Werve, dated 1399. The reverse bears a handwritten letter dated January 21, 1919, addressed to relatives in Dijon, with a mention of an imminent departure.
