View of the cathedral in Dol-de-Bretagne, with its imposing bell tower and Gothic portal, framed by trees and a stone wall. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 'Brest, 17 October 25' addressed to 'Dear Friend', mentioning a return to Brest and terrible weather in Cherbourg. A postal stamp is affixed at the bottom right.
