Historical illustration of the siege of Dômfro nt in 1874, showing the retreat of Montgommery after 12 hours of combat. Printed text describes the defense of the town against 15,000 men. Reverse: handwritten message 'Bon souvenir de Normandie de Carollande' addressed to M. Ernest Laiguetonne in Paris, with a postmark and cancellation from L'IGNY-Isandaine dated 12-9.
