Black and white view of Bournemouth beach with swimmers and parasols, viewed from the green cliffs. Printed text at the bottom: 'EAST CLIFF ZIG-ZAG, BOURNEMOUTH'. On the reverse, handwritten message addressed to Mrs. Thos. Martin at South Baffleet, Essex, with a Southampton postmark and postal stamp 'SOUTHAMPTON 17 OCT 1914'.
