Description

Colorized view of an imposing Tudor-style building identified as the Grosvenor Hotel, located on Stoute Street in Chester. The printed text at the bottom indicates the publisher Hugo Lang & Co. and the serial number 6651. The reverse bears a handwritten French address for Madame Thomas in Saint-Mande, a circular postmark from Manchester dated May 26, 1905, and a British 1d postage stamp.
