View of the Écouen Castle in Seine-et-Oise, with its cast-iron facades and square courtyard, decorated by Jean Goujon. The reverse details its history: built around 1533 by Anne de Montmorency, it was demolished during the Restoration, its chapel and 16th-century paintings transferred from Chantilly. It was owned by the Legion of Honour during the Empire.
