Description

View of the church of Longpont, remains of the Benedictine abbey founded in the 11th century by Gui Trouselle, Count of Montlhéry and his wife Hodierne. The text states that the chapel of Notre-Dame de Bonne-Garde, behind the main altar, attracts a large crowd on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, and that the church contains a rich treasure of reliquaries. Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to Mr. Ledour in Paris, 5-centime stamps, cancellation 'SEINE-ET-LOIRE' of August 28, 1908.
