Description

Monumental statue of the Laying in the Tomb in the church of Semur, depicting Jesus dead lying on a coffin surrounded by mourning figures. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 2 October 1929 addressed to a Madame, mentioning a wedding in Chaunies and a seamstress in Semur. Postal stamp and postmark from Semur visible.
