Black and white portrait of Elizabeth of Austria, wearing a richly embroidered dress and high collar, with a decorated tiara. The work is attributed to François Clouet, whose name appears at the bottom right. On the reverse, a handwritten French correspondence addressed to 'Sous-Prouff' in Russia, with a 10-centime French postmark and a circular cancellation of 'Maderanvelle'.
