Detailed view of the ruined church in Elverdinghe, with its partially collapsed bell tower and broken windows, illustrating the damage from the war of 1914-16. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated June 14, 1916, addressed to Mrs. X in Paris, and a postmark from the French Syndical Chamber with cancellation.
