The printed text in English and French says: « A LITTLE MORE OF THIS PHYSIC AND I'LL SOON BE ALL RIGHT! » and « Encore un peu de ce traitement et j'irai tout à fait bien ! ». On the reverse, handwritten text dated August 18, 1917 addresses « Mon cher Maurice » and mentions a bicycle and a pump.
