Description

View of the entrance to Fort Mont-Valérien, with a monumental gate framed by trees and a French flag at the top. Three soldiers in uniform are visible near the entrance. The reverse contains a handwritten letter dated June 4, 1915, addressed to 'My dear Marie,' signed 'Henry,' and mentions the installation of two new companions and a Sunday ceremony.
