Black and white view of the Gorges of the Chaudanne, a canyon with steep rocky walls and a river below. Printed text at the bottom of the front: 'Surroundings of CASTELLANE (B.-A). The Gorges of the Chaudanne.' The reverse has handwritten correspondence addressed to Mr. and Mrs. L. Pourtal in Favery, Quartier Les Salans, with a postmark and a cancellation of 'B. ALPES' dated 13-5-27.
