Black and white view of the ruins of Murat Castle, located in the environs of Montmarault (Allier), with an inscription mentioning the Bourbon dynasty. The reverse features handwritten text dated August 23, 1947, addressed to Madame Dietsch in Paris, accompanied by a blue 5-franc stamp and a circular cancellation 'ALLIER'.
