Description

Interior view of the canal of the Pont du Gard, located at the top of the bridge, with a length of 255 meters. The reverse details the history of the bridge as a colossal fragment of a 41 km Roman aqueduct, destroyed by the Visigoths between 412–418, with uneven arches and a height of 48 meters.
