View of the ruins of the Château de Rochetaillée, with its round stone towers and a staircase leading to the building, in the surroundings of Saint-Étienne. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated Wednesday, 17 October 1923, sent to Mrs. Nayme in Lyon, with a 10-centime green postage stamp and a postmark from Luire.
