On the reverse, a postcard sent from Cheneuve (Côte d'Or) on 24 September 1940, with a 0.25 franc French postage stamp and handwritten text addressed to Madame Jean Jaures in Cheneuve. The publisher is Rimm, and the printed text states 'Environs de VARZY (Nièvre) - L'Étang d'Oudan'.
