Black and white view of the Gate of Alençon, a rocky archetypal landmark of Éretat, with visible geological layers. The reverse features handwritten text dated Tuesday, April 14, 1908, addressed to Lucienne Maumon in Abbeville, accompanied by a 5-centime green stamp and a cancellation of 'PARIS 15'.
