Description

Historical illustration of the aqueduct of Maintenon, a work begun under Louis XIV intended to bring the waters of the Eure to Versailles, whose construction was unfinished. The printed text states that it was intended to measure 45 kilometers and be built in masonry. On the reverse, the postcard bears the publisher G. Feseault, publisher, Dreux, and the number 47 of the series 'Eure-et-Loir Historique'.
