Description

Two children in folkloric costumes face each other in front of a wooden gate. The front features a poem in German: 'Liebe Liese, komm her, Schau der Himmel, der ist trübe, Und im Herzen die Liebe, Die brennt gar so sehr.' The reverse shows handwritten text addressed to 'Fraülein Martha Riss' in Basel, with a Helvetia 5 Rp stamp and a postmark from Burgdorf dated 20 VIII 1912.
