Two smiling children, a boy holding a small figure and a girl holding a doll, are sitting in a basket decorated with flowers and other dolls. The printed text at the bottom says: 'Here we are, little messengers, Both of us loaded for you....loaded!'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated January 1918, signed 'Nelly Lamb', addressed to 'My dear little Mire', with a Universal Postal Union stamp and a circular postmark.
