New Year's greeting card illustrated with a striped pink carnation, with printed text: 'My heart sends you a thousand things, joyful evenings and rose-colored days! Happy New Year.' 10-centime French Republic postal stamp, postmarked in Paris. Reverse: handwritten text indicating the sender 'Bernard Chauvet' and the recipient 'Miss Marie Laut' at the 'Hôtel de l'Autobourg de Paris' in Rennes, with a note 'Paris' at the bottom left.
