Description

Illustrated postcard of a woman in period costume, on a background of newspaper pages. The front bears the inscription 'LA PATRIE, ORGANE DE LA DÉFENSE NATIONALE' and notes the date of Tuesday, October 29, 1909. The back is addressed to Madame L. Guivel in Marcley, near Geneva (Switzerland), with a 5-centime postage stamp and a postmark from Cologne dated April 29, 1903.
