Description

Illustration of a religious scene in a Gothic church where a curé, standing on an altar, throws a hat at a woman accused of cheating on her husband. The printed text at the bottom of the card says: « THE CURÉ OF PONTOISE — I am going, he says, to throw my hat at the one who has most cheated on her husband ». On the reverse, there is handwritten writing and an address to Monsieur Turbez Jacques in Lurevillle (Côte d'Or, Moselle).
