Patriotic postcard depicting a sailor and a soldier in uniform, in front of a ship emitting black smoke, with printed text 'Forward! Let us risk our lives / We owe it to the Fatherland!'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated April 27, 1915, sent from Cherbourg to Germaine Ferey, with a signature of Émile Houdard and an address in Cherbourg.
