Description

Painted view of Ellen's Isle at Loch Katrine, with a boat on the water and trees along the shore. The reverse indicates that the island is 8 miles long and named after Ellen Douglas, and bears a handwritten address to Madame Machart in Chaunilly (Oise), France, with a 1 penny stamp and a Chantilly cancellation of 30 July 1908.
