Embroidered greeting card on white fabric with the text 'Happy New Year' in green cursive letters, surrounded by branches with green leaves and small pink and white flowers. Reverse: handwritten address to Monsieur Ernest Jaylun in Marseille, with a green 10-centime stamp and a postmark from Marseille dated January 1st, 1888. Handwritten message on the left: 'With our wishes for health and happiness to Madam and Sir.'
