Description

New Year's greeting postcard from 1918, illustrated with a bouquet of roses and foliage with a pale blue ribbon. The printed text on a cartouche reads: 'May what is good and these roses raise the sweetest things.' On the reverse, a handwritten letter from the Compain family to Emilie, dated January 1918, expresses their thanks for the cards received and their wishes for health and prosperity. A French postage stamp is affixed at the bottom left.
