Young woman from the 1920s applying lipstick in front of a small ornate-framed mirror, wearing a pearl necklace and a ring. On the reverse, a handwritten letter in French addressed to 'Madame de la Courte' in Paris, with a mention of 'Carnival' and a signature 'S. Courte'.
