Theatrical scene in period costume where a woman in a ruffled dress offers an object to a kneeling man. Printed text at the top of the front, signature 'J. Allivré' at the bottom. Reverse: handwritten letter addressed to 'Mademoiselle Camille Foucourt, at Versailles', 20-centime green stamp, postmark 'Dijon 21 déc 1922'.
