Description

Granite monument commemorating the 1916 battle, with inscription 'HERE FLEURY WAS DESTROYED IN 1916' and an engraved war cross. On the reverse, text indicating that the base materials are relics from the vanished village, inaugurated on June 24, 1934 by Mr. Chain, President of the Touring-Club de France. French postmark of 1916, Verdun cancellation, recipient to Saint-Michel-les-Portes.
