Description

Portrait of an Alsacian woman in traditional costume, wearing a large black hat, a red apron, and a patterned skirt, holding an ornate chair. The printed text at the bottom indicates 'Elsässerin — Alsacienne'. On the reverse, the publisher is 'H. F. Nachf. K. S. Str.' with deposit number 139, and a handwritten address to Miss Rose Gruge in Marnville. A green 5-pfennig stamp is affixed, canceled in Mulhouse on 22.10.1912.
