Young woman in traditional Alsatian costume, wearing a large black hat, a black corseted dress, white sleeves, and a pink skirt with blue patterns, holding a small bouquet. The back features handwritten text addressed to Emmy Bernasconi with Mme Lohler in Gähler, Herisau, Switzerland, with a red 10 pfennig stamp and a postmark from Fribourg dated 21.09.1909.
