Young Auvergne dairymaid in traditional attire, smiling, holding a bucket and a hat, sitting on a small wooden bridge in a forested setting. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 3-1-XX (probably 1911) addressed to Monsieur Joseph Hospital in Montpellier, with an 80-centime postal stamp and partial cancellation.
