An Auvergne family around a soup bowl, illustrating the tradition of cabbage soup. Printed text in French and Auvergne patois. Reverse: green 5c stamp, postmark from Cantal (18-5-1895), recipient in Autun, and handwritten address to Madame Marguerite Bernard in Saint-Étienne.
