Description

Scene of an evening in a rustic interior of Le Bourbonnais, where men, armed with a knife, relax after work while women sew. Printed text at the bottom: 'After the hard work, the evening gently ends. The women sewing, the men armed with a knife, will have lunch in the morning.' Reverse: 20c red stamp, postmark 'AL' dated 30/11/1921, handwritten address to A. Crontal in Beaume, via Cendres, Gard.
